The Challenge

The core challenge was building a platform capable of handling enormous volumes of diverse historical data — Arabic, Ottoman, British, and Portuguese documents — while providing a precise and fast search system for researchers and historians, and managing a data-entry team to ensure the quality and accuracy of the digitized content.

The Solution

We engineered a full-stack system from scratch, featuring a fully Arabic user interface, a well-structured database supporting multiple content types (documents, books, newspapers, periodicals, genealogies, landmarks), and an internal dashboard for managing the data-entry team and overseeing daily digitization operations. We also provided ongoing technical support, maintenance, and continuous development.

Key Features

  • Massive database housing hundreds of thousands of classified historical documents
  • Advanced search supporting Arabic, Ottoman, British, and Portuguese documents
  • Specialized sections: Documents, Books & Sources, Historical References, Gulf Dialects, Historical Landmarks
  • Subscription and permissions system for premium content access
  • Internal dashboard for data-entry team management
  • Continuous daily updates adding hundreds of documents and sources
  • Ongoing technical support, maintenance, and development
